USA v China

Travels last summer were dedicated to following the World Cup around Europe and seeing the best the 'jogo bonito' had to offer. That in mind, it had been awhile since we were able to catch a game...so when tickets became available for a USA v China MNT 'Friendly' in San Jose, we jumped at the chance. Margeson made the trip up, as well as my sister Kindra and her husband JJ. The local gang, including Harris, Joe and Casey also made an appearance.

The game went well, with the US claiming a 4-1 victory. For the most part, the crowd was pretty good. There were a few odd moments in which the 'cultural difference monster' showed up...for example, umm, some people like their space and when 'random soccer know-it-all' decides to invade said space...it can be an issue. Fortunately, it had nothing to do with our group and the situation(s) took care of themselves. What if they hadn't?...well, I am an EMT...I could have given them oxygen. Joe is a radiology tech...and could have taken a picture of them. Harris is just dead sexy. And with hair like Margeson's...is anyone really going to say anything.

Highlights for the weekend? Barbary Coast beating the crap out of a cocky Olympic Club team in the morning before the futbol match... the 'popped-collars' just weren't as popped after that, and 2) Margeson taking shots of vodka out of his new Reef 'hide-a-drink' sandals...hey, it ain't for everyone.
